The product does what it needs to do, and it does it well. The price point is too high for what you get: a plastic, shoddy-assembled device with low cost materials and craftsmanship.
There are two modes of operation: connected to the wall’s electricity via a USB 2 port and cable, or with 3 AA batteries you can buy at your local store. For the price point, the fact is does not come with a rechargable battery via the USB port is ludicrous.
Is the product good for what it is needed? Yes.
Is the price for what you get good? Not so much.
You are locked in to life-time battery expenses, and the high-brightness LEDs will drain them quick (assuming you need them on all the time, like I do).
If you are planning to get a travel magnification tool to see, this is an expensive good option.
I will keep it (I need it), but I won’t buy again from this manufacturer.

It’s pretty awesome! It’s super sturdy and built well. Amazing magnification and the glass is crystal clear. The LED lights are powerful and bright. As I’m getting older, this helps with my model-making and painting. I can see easily and don’t have eye strain. What’s great is, it’s rechargeable with a USB cord. You don’t need batteries or have it constantly plugged in. It also has a super sturdy case to keep it well protected and stop the glass from getting scratched, plus it helps keep everything together. I’m a big fan of the VisionAid Magnifier and it’s really helped me to up my miniature assembly and painting game!
I’d previously tried quite a few alternatives before from other suppliers but always found them to be too cumbersome – they either get in the way generally or not offer enough light or magnification to make it worthwhile.
With the VisionAid, it’s really lightweight and comfy to hold or easy to set up using its freestanding mode. The light has four different settings to help you pick what’s right for you – I’ve found the warm light (option 2) to be my favourite although when I’m paying particular attention to colour then option 1 is more colour accurate.
Whichever option you choose though the image is really clear with the 30x magnification. I was able to spot new issues with models I’d previously painted that since look way better now I’ve gone back and touched them up. I’ve also found it unexpectedly to be a great way to photograph my models through the lens and share them with friends and fellow hobbyists!
Finally it’s also worth mentioning the case. Being a parent of small kids having a nice hard-shell case to securely put the magnifier away is really helpful. It’s also a good size and just generally makes it look and feel even more premium. Definite recommend for anyone else that needs to see small details up close!

I really wanted to love this because of the strong magnification. It worked nicely for about 3 days, but then the light stopped working. Bad news: the return window closed only a few days ago. Disappointed, but I will keep it even though I will have to rely on the 3 AAA batteries.

Great lighting. love that you can use it stationary in a wall outlet or with batteries to give you more flexibility. Small lens needs to be really close to focus but works. The stand works well and holds it’s weight fine. My only complaints are the cleaning cloth is too small, adjustable stand is a little stiff to open and close. Also the power cord is really short. But it’s still a 5 star product to me.

zu beleuchten. Außerdem sorgt die 30-fache Vergrößerung für eine deutlich wahrnehmbare Vergrößerung. Allerdings gibt es eine Einschränkung, die in der angewandten Technik liegt, da es die typischen, optischen Verzerrungen einer Linse gibt. Im Zentrum ist alles scharf und zum Rand sind etwa Buchstaben verzerrt dargestellt. Will man also ein kleines Detail größer betrachten ist es optimal. Will man Texte insgesamt vergrößert dargestellt lesen, gibt es heute andere Techniken, etwa der Blick durch die Kamera-Funktion eines eines Handys, da dort alles in der Fläche gleichmäßig vergrößert wird.
Will man einen ähnlichen Effekt bei einer Lupe erzielen bedarf es eines Anzeige-Bildschirmes, der das Objekt gleichmäßig in der Fläche vergrößert, darstellt. Es darf dann also kein direkter Blick durch die Lupe sein, sondern eine Technik muß die Verzerrungen ausgleichen und sie dann über einen Bildschirm anzeigen. – Super-Lupe also mit den Einschränkungen, die eine Lupe immer hat.

I was looking for a new Magnifying glass and came across this product. Being a senior, I always have a hard time seeing the pin holes when changing watch bands. This item works fantastic for that as it is self-standing with very bright lights.
I had a concern with this product as it seemed there was no indication of being fully charged. The red light never changed. I contacted Support directly via email from the user manual to enquire about no full charge indicator.
It was suggested to me to ensure to keep the device plugged in for couple hours. I kept it plugged in for close to 3hrs with no change to green light.
This company stood behind their product, sending me a complete replacement and told me to keep the faulty unit for spare parts. Outstanding Support.
When I decide to build a replacement for my 11th Gen i9 Desktop, I want to purchase their magnifying glasses with light headwear as it was difficult seeing the tiny letters on the motherboard.

I bought this in order to view my Roman coins. I had a much cheaper jeweler’s loupe and it was difficult to use. This is so easy to use. Great magnification and brightness. Does just what I want it to. Great buy for the price.

Best Magnifying glass I ever bought_ Very nice storage case_ Large, Clear, Powerful Lense, with a smaller lens with even more magnification_ 3 stage lighted lenses_ Folding joint in the handle at the base of the lens for various angles, with a lock-in at each angle to keep the lense from moving after angle is set_ Light weight_ Takes either (3) AAA batteries (not included) or can be plugged in via USB cable (included)
This device is Not rechargeable_ Would be a very nice feature for the next grade up, but the USB cable is only for powering the device while in use

This product has it all, and all works fabulous. It is portable, coming with a sturdy case which includes a handle. It uses batteries or can be charged on a port, the charging cable is included. There are four different lighting phases with different strengths and tones. The adjustable stand that collapses works when you need both your hands available. Having said all this, can’t forget the most important part, the magnifier makes reading the smallest font possible. I had this for two days and liked it so much, I ordered two more for gifts. It’s just ideal, with all the bells and whistles.
