My dog was never a picky eater but ever since I started giving her hill’s diet cans she has become one. She is an elderly dog and really doesn’t like hill’s food. She liked this one though, she’s only used one can but didn’t have issues eating it.

The downsides of Wet pet food:
    — costs more for its volume
    — should be discarded after being out more than four hours

I was given a chance to review various pet food varieties: dry, wet and canned, budget-friendly and expensive, all manufactured by different brands.
Every bag, pack or can have been wholly consumed during the last five months by three pets.
Based on what I saw and my parent’s observations, every pet food was loved by these ex-tramps, and they had no health issues afterwards.

As a result of their vibrant stray past, my parents’ pets (two cats and a dog) are not peaky (nothing like me…)
When it comes to food, they must be strictly monitored since they are always hungry and ready to eat virtually anything that falls under the “food” category (aquarium fish food, anyone?), and stomach issues rarely came into the picture.
The pets do not make a difference in cat/dog/hamster/fish/baby food.
Probably in their stray past, what didn’t kill them made their health stronger.
These three pets have never, ever refused food, so obviously, they wolf down anything they are given.

I’m that nerd of the family who reads the ingredients list, googles unknown words and makes conclusions.
So I went through the ingredients list of every product I’ve got to review.

    Some of the ingredients, like:
Green Peas, Rice Starch, Chicken Liver Flavor, Powdered Cellulose (filler), Soybean Oil, Wheat Gluten, Guar Gum, Monosodium Phosphate, Dried Beet Pulp (still contains sugar) caused me to raise an eyebrow.
All these ingredients are to be watched for in pet food.

The best way to produce a thoroughly thought-out conclusion about any pet’s diet is to take the pet to the Vet for a check-up.
When it comes to the Breeds, the owner should be careful with his pet’s diet due to food sensitivity known among the Breeds.

According to “Guide for the Labelling and Advertising of Pet Foods” in Canada:
“All ingredients (major, minor or categories),… , must be listed in descending order by the percentage of weight.”

My dogs are seniors and have been on science diet canned with wellness dry for few years as my min developed pancreas and liver enzyme issues. They love this flavor as well as senstive stomach best but eat what ever flavor. My min just got blood test check up and for 14 years and 7 months his enzymes are normal. But my problems was with dented cans. I did get refund and to be honest I ordered this same flavor from another company I won’t name that starts with C and ends wity Y and some cans were dented despite being shrink wrapped. So must be from manufacture so will not order this flavor again as someone somewhere is denting cans and won’t deal with that again.

Oreo laps this food up more than any food she’s eaten.

So I have a 5lb long haired blue chihuahua who is extremely picky with food & treats. I had him on Science Hill i/d digestive health, but very expensive and he turned his nose up at it. I have switched him to this and he loves it. I mix a tiny bit of chicken in with just so that he thinks he is eating gourmet people food. He eats it up like he loves it. It has not affected his digestive health in any negative way, his bathroom trips are very successful!

Our dog is aging and it seemed necessary to change his food. We mix with kibble.

Hills Science Diet Heathy Cuisine is my preferred brand of dog food and my dogs really like it and they are eating a lot healthier and more consistent in keeping it in stock and ingredients than other brands I have purchased and my dogs easily adjust to other Science Diet recipes if they are out of stock on the Healthy Cuisine flavor. My dogs were eating the Heathy Cuisine for adult dogs 1 to 6 years of age and since they turned 7, I had to change up to the adult 7+ year old recipe and the only change is that the 7+ has just a little less protein than the adult 1 to 6 years of age, my dogs loved their food as if nothing changed. I very happy with my purchase and trust the brand of Hill’s Science Diet.

My dog really enjoys this food and I feel good that she is eating something nutritious… Its not too thick and it has a nice amount of gravy…. My frenchy is 8 years old and her teeth are not that great anymore, so this food is perfect for her… We are both happy!

7 year old Golden Retriever absolutely loves it! Only gets a spoonful with his dry food and goes back to his dish repeatedly hoping there’s more!

  12. Karen Durr

This dog food helps my dog having healthy appetite cuz there was time she would not eat any dog food but she eats this one and it helps with her old age with the vitamins in it I love this stuff!
