My father finds it difficult get in and out of cars especially on the passenger side. This product has help him retain his independence and make it easier for him to get out of cars. Only problem is that it does not work on a “Renault Captur” as grab bar is too big. Currently looking for a smaller version that supports similar weight.

My mom is 93 years old and has limited mobility getting in and out of vehicles. This device is perfect because she can lean on it or even use it to pull herself upright. It’s very sturdy.

I bought this for my Mum as her mobility is limited and she was having a lot of trouble getting in and out of the car. It has been a lifesaver for her. It is strong and gives her stability and she no longer gets the wobbles which has led to her falling before. I definitely recommend it if you or someone you know if having the same trouble

Se transporte aisément dans un sac à main, très utile pour sortir d’une auto. Barre solide et stable qui vaut son prix.

Been a care giver for my Mom. A friend had told me about a similar product that she used when caring for her mother to help her with getting out of a car. One size fits most cars. Unfortunately, it is not very stable. You have to grab hold of it just right and bear down on it to prevent it from shaking in place. For an elderly adult with out a lot of strength that can become a challenge. First time Mom tried it, the handle would shake and frightened her. I could never get her to try and use it again.

I had seen these advertised and thought it might be handy. I finally ordered one and boy what a great and useful tool. I am having surgery in a week and this will be a lifesaver for getting in and out of the car.
It is very sturdy and holds securely. Makes it so much easier to motivate getting in and out of the car. So glad we got it.

This works great to help me get out of our family car. I have MS and rising to a standing position from the passenger seat of our car, to transfer to my wheelchair, was a huge effort. The main problem was nothing to grab onto and push off of with my right hand. My husband was very close to needing to buy a different car with a higher seat, so I would not suffer so much, getting out.
This product saved the day. Even though my right side is weak, the sturdy grab bar, tucked into the door jamb, gives me a perfect pushing off point. It feels quite secure. After getting out of the car, I just toss it back into the car at my feet, where it sits til the next time I get out. A great product.
Note that THIS grab bar positions properly for giving leverage when getting out. The other model being sold on Amazon sits at a different angle, which would not work for me. Look carefully at the photos and decide…

You have no idea how useful this grab bar is, until you are wheelchair bound and need assistance to transfer to and from a car. The bar is secure and provides stability for the disabled. Plus it is a great relief for the niece who so cheerfully transports me to doctors’ visits, etc. — no backache for her! She just stands by the chair and grins.

I bought this for my husband and he uses it some of the time. It is very sturdy and is a good aid. For myself, I think I would like one that is perpendicular to the side of the car, as I usually place my hand over the end of this one as he is getting in so that it does not hit him in the back side as he scoots into the seat. As old as he is, he has yet to learn to sit down and then swivel to face forward in the seat. This is a very sturdy device, easy to use, and easy to store.
