Bought this for my elderly mother so she could get some movement in while she was sitting at her computer. The idea is great, so will be hunting for one that works as it should.
The issues I had were:
The remote would not worth beyond a maximum of a foot away from the unit. Even then it took hitting buttons several times to get the features to work. Totally defeated the purpose of having a remote if you have to bend over within reach of the buttons on the unit to use the remote. Yes, batteries were new and even tested. Remote batteries are not included.
Second issue was the motor. If you were just resting your feet on it, it seemed to work as it should. But even the slightest bit of downward pressure made the motor bog down noticeably. With it on manual (no motor assist) the rotary action was not smooth. With almost slight slipping.
Third issue was the rough action of the rollers. It felt like this was something stuck on the wheel. Kinda like a shopping cart. But there was no debris on the wheels.
Was super disappointed with this item. AND that now my mom has to wait for another Christmas present. Id of given this less stars but it did actually function. It just did so horribly.

The Under Desk Elliptical is as listed, well made and silent in operation. There are three levels of programmed operation that vary speed and direction, as well as manual mode which also controls speed and direction. All can be selected from the unit or its remote.
It does not provide the same level of exertion as a treadmill or standing elliptical, but it does help a great deal for blood circulation in the feet and legs. Especially for anyone who spends appreciable time sitting at a desk or watching TV. It is easy to use the machine as the motion it does not distract from other focus.
The machine is light, has a built in handle, so it can be moved anywhere there is an electrical outlet within 6′ or so. It also stays put on carpet or hard surfaced floors.

So, I finally gave in and bought the GUGTTR Under Desk Elliptical because, let’s be honest, the idea of getting fit while sitting sounded too good to pass up. It’s perfect for my cousin’s home physical therapy and my lazy workouts (my favorite kind). Easy to use? Absolutely. You just sit, pedal, and pretend you’re training for the Olympics—without even standing up. The quality is surprisingly solid for something that lets you exercise while binge-watching TV.
If you’re looking for an excuse to stay seated while convincing yourself you’re ‘working out,’ this is the gadget for you. Bonus points for making me feel productive while I remain very much stationary.

This is a very easy to use elliptical device that’s built to be able to put under a desk or to do while sitting down in a chair. You don’t stand on it at all ever. You sit and you pump your legs. The only concern I have at all is that the remote sometimes is not instantly obeyed. I don’t quite understand what the differences, but sometimes you can mash down on the buttons on the remote and nothing happens and then you wait five seconds and it works fine. I check the batteries and they are fine so I’m not quite sure why there is a delay sometimes. Other than that, the machine works great! The display scrolls through the various metrics that it measures as you are using it, like calories burned, steps taken, how many Simulated feet you’ve gone, Elapsed time, etc. I will highly recommend this device for people that want to get more mobility back. It’s definitely helping me!

Like the fact it has a handle to move it and put it out of the way. Believe it is helping circulation in my legs and feet
