Description
- Life Alert Systems for Seniors, No Monthly Fee – 24/7 Senior Wellbeing Supervising Via Smartphone APP – AI Elderly Monitoring Device
- HOW CAREALERT WORKS: It tells you anytime if your loved ones are up and about. One look at the app tells you the last activity it detected. You can program it so that CareAlert sends alerts on EXTENDED INACTIVITY. Life Alert Systems CareAlert can alert you of trends with long-term negative consequences, such as decreased kitchen usage that could indicate limited mobility or illness, excessive bathroom visits, or long showers. Please Note that CareAlert does not detect falls but detects inactivity.
- ENSURING SENIOR SAFETY: Plug in CareAlert in an electrical outlet and let it act as a nightlight while it learns the daily activities of the seniors. Use the app to get alerts of any unusual activities or even a loud sound. The system, leveraging AI, spots unusual patterns, alerting you immediately.
- NO ACTIVITY WARNING: CareAlert uses multiple sensors and a sophisticated PRESENCE Algorithm to determine whether somebody is at the house or not. At any time, CareAlert senses nobody seems to be at home it will alert the caregivers.
- ENVIRONMENTAL MONITORING. Air quality and humidity impact health significantly. : Each CareAlert has Air Quality, Temperature, and Humidity sensors. If the readings are out of range, the caregivers are alerted instantly.
- NO CAMERAS OR WEARABLES: CareALert is designed to be unobtrusive; it does not have any Cameras, nor does it listen to any conversations, unlike other devices. It is disguised as an emergency night light that can be remotely programmed to turn on when the power is out or if there is movement.
- PERSONALIZED MEDICATION REMINDERS: Forgetting medication is a concern of the past. By using CareAlert APP caregivers can now set up personalized voice reminders for their dependents. Using their voice creates a familiar and reassuring prompt to take medicines at the scheduled times. Adherence to medication schedules has never been easier!
- REMOTE BIOMETRIC READING: CalerAlert with subscription integrates with our approved devices such as Blood Pressure, Oximeter, Thermometer, and Scale. Every time the loved ones take a measurement, the reading will appear in the APP.
- HOW MANY SENSORS DO YOU NEED? With one sensor, it is possible to tell if your loved ones are up and about, i.e., if placed in the bedroom, an estimate of bedtimes and time in bed can be inferred. A more comprehensive picture of activities can be tracked with two or three.

My elderly dad lives alone in another state, and I worry about his well-being. However, he is fiercely independent and doesn’t want to move closer to children or grandchildren. He wants to stay right where he is until he takes his last breath. Of course, that has me worried about how long it will take us to know he took his last breath.
I got two of these “CareAlert” motion sensors for his house and set them up when I visited him recently.
For Setup:
1. Setup must be done from the CareAlert app for Android or iPhones. The setup is done by the “CareTaker”. That meant that I was the one setting up the devices while I was visiting him in his house. If I buy any other CareAlert devices, then I will have to set them up during my next trip to his house.
2. Setup mostly went smoothly, but for both devices I setup, I got a message such as “Unable to contact server” on my first attempt to setup the device. But, then I “reconfigured” the device and somehow it worked on the second setup attempt.
Functionality:
1. My phone is running Android 13. My phone is fairly consistently alerting me that the “CareAlert” app keeps crashing and my phone wants me to put the app in Deep Sleep. I deny those requests. The app hasn’t crashed on me while using the app, but I don’t know what’s happening in the background.
2. I do not get notifications from the app. I have notifications enabled. Everywhere it says that notifications are allowed shows that I should be getting notifications. I just don’t get notifications. I have to manually open the app for it to sync data and read notifications.
3. I had to adjust the ranges for humidity and loud sound thresholds. My dad has other humidity sensors in his house, but CareAlert seems to think his house is far more humid than it really is. Additionally, the sensors readily alerted me of “loud sound” every time he turned the TV on (he LOVES his surround sound system). I adjusted the threshold so that I wouldn’t see those alerts going off in the app every couple minutes for the entire duration of a movie. His house is an open floorplan with the living room right between his bedroom and kitchen where the devices are.
4. The nightlight has adjustable brightness from the app. It makes a good nightlight
5. The intercom feature is interesting. I (the caregiver) initiate the call from the app. The CareAlert device rings like a telephone before it automatically answers, then I can speak to him as if we were on the phone. There is no way for him to initiate a call to me from the device.
6. There is very little documentation about what devices can be linked to the app (door sensors, blood pressure cuff, etc). I found in the app where I can add “KKM Door Sensor” or “KKM Call Button”, but what is that? Where can I buy it in the USA? I’m not finding it on Amazon.
Even though the app needs some work for stability and notifications, the CareAlert devices are giving me peace of mind that he’s ok, even if he doesn’t send me an email, text, or call every day. There is no better option on the market for being able to remotely monitor the activities of aging parents in a non-invasive way.

I care for my dad long distance which is super stressful. I can now check in on Dad even without needing him to pick up the phone, and the daily activity snapshot I get is pretty cool. Plugged in light a nightlight and easily paired to wifi. Great product!

I was looking for an unobtrusive non-wearable monitor that would allow me to monitor an active octogenarian, but living on his own.
The price and no subscription enticed me to buy.
Unfortunately, I had an hour difficulty setting it up on wifi, where I saw a connection “take” but then it looked like unit was offline. Compounding this, there was NO documenation in the package (it just comes in a plastic bag, and there was nothing I could see on the website. I figured it was bricked, and no warranty info (I wasn’t able to set this up until after the Amazon return window) meant I bought some cheap overseas crap.
Out of frustration, I sent a nasty response at the company’s website. That’s where everything changed. I was immediately told they’d call me the next business day at a certain time, and right to the minute, I was called with someone who troubleshooted this with me. Turns out there was a misinterpation where becuase of a few initial hiccups setting this up, the device registered 4 times on my app, with 1 working fine, but the others showing me “offline”. I deleted the “other” 3, and immediately started getting proper and timely feedback.
So now that the device was working, I was amazed at the number of settings and alerts you can set-up, and how well it worked! If you want an alert almost everytime activities of your choosing (e.g. water running, loud noise, walking by it) you can essentually do it. If you just want to know if there has been NO activity over certain key points, you can do this well. This is not just a binary motion sensor, it has tons of bells and whistles in the app, with many sliders (example, you can set the decible on the loud noise detector).
In short, it appears this is a small company who developed a good product, good app, but just doesn’t have tons of support documents for the sake of support documents, but if you run into a problem, you can just email or call, and they have someone who can assist. The hour I mentioned setting it up? In retrospect, it only took about 5 minutes, but I was confused by what I was seeing in the app that made it look like it got discoonected– in retrosepct, I should have just contacted the company at this point.
I’m not 2 months in, and the sensor and app are working as well as the first day got everything working.
If you want a non-camera, non-wearable (although apparently the company makes those too) alert monitor for people living alone, this is the product. It monitors what needs to be monitored without being Big Brother for those folks who might be reluctant to have something “watch” them.
In short, I think this is a smal up-start with a good product.

As my Parent’s health has declined over the past few years and them living in another state, we needed a solution that would allow us to monitor them from afar without interrupting their schedule or invading their privacy with cameras. The installation was quick and we were up and running in a few minutes. The phone app works great and provides real-time metrics through the wellness dashboard, one of our favorite features is the ability to call the device from the app and communicate directly like a “walkie-talkie” with our parents in case of a serious issue like a fall or minor issues like a ringer turned off on the phone. The application allows multiple caregivers access to the monitoring such as other family members or doctors. With the ability to set reminders through the app, my parents are reminded when of appointments or medication they need to take. Another key feature was the night light built into the device, my mother has it installed in the hallway which at night is a major aid. This product has given my family great comfort knowing we can at a glance check on our loved ones.
