Okay so I took a star off because it does allow a little gap that allows rain water to come in if it is a good down pour. Also when you are at the car wash. If I know it is gonna rain, I take it down because I would rather take a few seconds to put back up versus getting water dripped on my door electronics or clothes! But it is awesome for people who have issues with pulling a door shut because the doors open up so wide and also assists when you are getting out of the car…that little extra secure helper.

When I needed to transfer my mom from wheelchair to car and back again, this was the ideal item for her to use. I actually attached it to the upper grab bar inside the door of my vehicle, as she could not reach it from her chair – but she could grab this and use it to pull herself up. Although I could not lift all her weight on my own, this product allowed me to get right behind her so she couldn’t fall, and I’d say, “Now swing like Tarzan!” Which she always thought was fun. And then I could easily guide her bottom into the car seat. In reverse, she would use it for security when she swung her legs outside the vehicle and stood up. The strap’s flexibility helped her feel secure while she shuffled her feet around to sit down in the wheelchair. Excellent product for increased independence, would definitely recommend.

I got this for my mom after she broke her left shoulder and was having trouble getting back to driving herself around, mainly because she could not shut the drivers door with her left hand. Ordered this and it was easy to install. Worked great for her to be independent while recovering from her injury.

Surprisingly versatile. I bought two, because I needed something, that could help me get in and out of my Mom’s car. This handle is perfect for any size shape or height of car. Where ever you need it to help, it will fit. It goes over the door top and in through the window. It doesn’t put any stress on the window when used with the window up, si it is secured in place when the door is open. It stays in place when the window is down and the door closed. To re-locate it. just have the window down and the door open. It adjusts to up bu the rim of the window top, to below the window bottom. Plenty of room to find your sweet spot for it.
