How To Easily Lose FAT And Love Longer!!

When you exercise or reduce calories your fat is changed in to water and carbon dioxide. The water mixes into your circulation until it’s lost as urine or sweat and you exhale the carbon dioxide.

You lose more weight through exhaling the carbon dioxide than you do in your urine or sweat. Sounds crazy doesn’t it!

Just about everything we eat is removed via our lungs. This applies to all the carbohydrate, proteins and fats that we eat are changed into water and carbon dioxide, even alcohol is removed via the lungs and urine.

Only dietary fibre goes in to your colon. Everything else you ingest goes into your organs and bloodstream and then evaporated in your breathing.

Is It Only About Calories In v. Calories Out? Continue reading “How To Easily Lose FAT And Love Longer!!”

For people on Medicare, there are some changes to be aware of for 2018

For people on Medicare, there are some changes to be aware of for 2018

SOCIAL SECURITY

“Medicare is going to replace everyone’s Medicare card starting in April 2018 through April 2019. The cards will be replaced on a scheduled basis. Everyone will get a new card that will have the Social Security number removed and replaced with a unique ID number. It will look different. Nobody needs to initiate anything.”

SCAMS

“There are a lot of scams. There are people calling Medicare beneficiaries, saying they need to pay $35 for these new cards. But Medicare will never call to verify a Medicare number,” or ask for money.

For people on Medicare, there are some changes to be aware of for 2018.

The open enrollment period for Part D prescription drug plans and Part C Medicare Advantage plans is Oct. 15 through Dec. 7.

Prescription drug plans, known as Part D, are advisable for people on Medicare if you are not enrolled in an HMO with drug coverage.

In the past, Medicare allowed companies to merge their enrollees with existing plans,”  we have not heard if that is still true.

It’s important to read the annual notice of change from your company. “If people choose not to renew, they have extra time to find other coverage, but it’s important to pay attention to the dates.”

You shouldn’t risk a coverage gap. If this particular plan ends Dec. 31, you have until Feb. 28 to renew. But that leaves two months uncovered — you don’t want to do that.

People who have prescription drug coverage from a retiree plan do not need to enroll in a Part D plan. You don’t need to do anything. If you have credible coverage from a former employer or the Veterans Administration, you don’t need to enroll. Have You Heard of Harry The Hypnotist?

It was entertainment night at the Senior Citizens Centre.
After the community sing-along, led by Alice at the piano, it was time for the star of the show – Harry the Hypnotist!

Harry explained that he was going to put the whole audience into a trance “Yes, each and every one of you and all at the same time,” said Harry.
The excited chatter dropped to silence as Harry carefully withdrew, from his waistcoat pocket, a beautiful antique gold pocket watch and chain.

“I want you to keep your eyes on this watch” said Harry, holding the watch high for all to see.

“It’s a very special and valuable watch that has been in my family for six generations,” said Harry.

He began to swing the watch gently back and forth while quietly chanting, “Watch the watch — watch the watch —- watch the watch”

The audience became mesmerized as the watch swayed back and forth.
The lights were twinkling as they were reflected from its gleaming surfaces.

One hundred and fifty pairs of eyes followed the movements of the gently swaying watch.

They were all hypnotized.

And then, suddenly, the chain holding the watch broke!
The beautiful watch fell to the stage and burst into fragments on impact.
“SHIT!”  shouted Harry.
It took the staff three days to completely clean up the Senior Citizens Centre and Harry was never invited back again.
When nothing goes right…  Go left.

Insomnia & Sleep Apnea Effect On Seniors

Insomnia & Sleep Apnea

Poor Quality Sleep

  • Researchers at University Of California recently reported that the quality of sleep especially among the elderly can cause brain deterioration and substantial memory loss.
  • In the area of the brain where long term memory is stored called the prefrontal cortex receives transferred brain wave memories from the hippocampus which are produced during sleep.

Poor quality of sleep in seniors triggers memories to be trapped in the area called hippocampus and not go to the prefrontal cortex. Causing difficulty remembering names and forgetfulness.
